Hands of the Carpenter

Make Mother’s Day special for a single woman in need! Hands of the Carpenter (Hands) is a local nonprofit serving women, including single mothers in need, older widows and those escaping domestic violence. Hands accepts and utilizes car donations to support women striving to maintain employment, care for their families, and achieve self-sufficiency. Any car will be accepted, although ones 5-10 years old are most preferred – running or not. For more information regarding this tax-deducible donation opportunity, go to and click on the Donate a Vehicle button at the top of the homepage. Hands is a faith-based nonprofit located on S. Golden Road with whom our church is proud to partner.

GoFarm - Local, Fresh Produce in Golden

GoFarm is a local non-profit supported by Calvary because of its mission to increase access to more affordable fresh, healthy food in the greater Golden area. By ordering a local food share, you will not only receive high quality, fresh food grown or raised locally throughout the season, but you will also positively impact the health and vitality of our community, as all proceeds support GoFarm outreach programs to seniors, schools, limited-income families and farmers.

Diapers and Detergent Drive, May 1-31

Throughout the month of May, Calvary will be collecting donations of diapers (all sizes) and laundry detergent that will be distributed to refugee families through Lutheran Family Services, International Rescue Committee (they currently have 21 expectant mothers!) and African Community Center. These are much needed items that most of the families cannot afford. Children’s Outreach will also be participating in the drive.
