Walk for Freshwater

Millions of students in Malawi, Africa, wake up early in the morning to fetch water from a dirty stream, then walk long distances home with a heavy bucket. Many get sick and miss school because of water-related diseases. Freshwater Project International is working to change this, by implementing community-led water, sanitation and hygiene projects in Malawi, Africa. Mark your calendars now and plan to take 30 minutes to step into the shoes of a Malawian student fetching water. Find out practical ways you can be part of raising awareness and funds to change the water crisis in Malawi. This is a great family outreach opportunity, as children of all ages are welcome. All event proceeds will go to fund water and sanitation projects at schools in Malawi. This local non-profit, with a global focus, is one of the outreach ministries supported by Calvary.
